Nihad El-Kayed is a post-doc at the Berlin Institute for Empirical Integration and Migration Research (BIM) at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin where she is currently the PI of the research project From demolition to immigration II – Social boundaries and barriers to resource access (BMBF). Her research interests include inter alia urban citizenship, political sociology, spatial aspects of social and political inequality, local conditions of refugee reception and arrival, and mixed methods.
