LibraryThe bibliography of Kaleiçi, Antalya, prepared by the AKMED Library, addresses various topics such as the historical development of Kaleiçi, the Ottoman and Republican era history and structures, archaeological excavations in the region, as well as restoration and conservation efforts. The bibliography is divided into three chronological sections: Section 1 covers the period from the establishment of the city of Attaleia during the Hellenistic Period to the end of the Byzantine Period; Section 2 encompasses the Seljuk, Beyliks, and Ottoman periods up to the end of the Ottoman era; and Section 3 spans from the establishment of the Republic to the present day.
Additionally, different perspectives such as the tourism potential of the region and the cultural life of the local population have also been considered. The sources included in the bibliography aim to provide researchers with rich and in-depth information, as well as to inspire new research.
It is our hope that this bibliography will contribute to a better understanding and preservation of the valuable heritage of Kaleiçi; and serve as a reference resource for academics, students, and anyone interested in the subject.
