Industrial Engineering

MS without Thesis

With the growing prominence of interdisciplinary approaches, the importance of industrial engineering, which combines engineering, business, a system perspective, and a systems approach, has increased both in the education sector and in the business world. The program aims to provide students studying industrial engineering at the undergraduate level with an opportunity for one additional year of specialization. More importantly, it proposes a one-year program where students with undergraduate education in different fields can learn the specific approaches and methods of industrial engineering. The expectation is for this program to enrich the existing thesis-based master’s program and complete the Ph.D. program in Industrial Engineering and Product Management currently ongoing at Koç University and to enrich the structure that currently doesn’t provide many opportunities to students from outside the discipline. As a principle, it is not possible for a student enrolled in the non-thesis master’s program to transition directly to the relevant Ph.D. program within the Institute. However, in cases where the student can meet the specified conditions for applying to the relevant Ph.D. program within the Institute, they may be considered for admission to the respective doctoral program.
