Travel Fund Application:

Graduate students who present a paper or poster at a scientific event are eligible to apply for travel support once a year. The travel fund applications are evaluated based on the academic success of the students.

The event must take place while the student is enrolled full-time in a graduate degree program.

For application and reimbursement details, please review the instructions provided below;

 

Application Procedure:

The application must be submitted prior to the conference, a minimum of one month in advance of the travel date.

Students must apply with the following documents to the Graduate School of Sciences and Engineering:

  • Completed Travel Fund Application form (attached) signed by student’s advisor.
  • Copy of the acceptance letter and the technical program showing the paper.
  • Short CV including the publication list.

Decisions for funding will be announced within 10 days of the submission application.

 

Reimbursement to Student:

Applications for reimbursement will be accepted only after travel is completed.

Eligible expenses may include:

  • travel (economy class airfare, train, bus … tickets)
  • accommodation
  • conference registration
  • meals

Students must submit original, itemized, and dated receipts for all expenses. For air travel, original or e-tickets with passenger itinerary/receipt and original boarding passes issued are required.
