This seminar will summarize the authors' current published research on the challenges of meeting sustainability targets at the organizational and country level. The author starts by a discussion on Islamic environmental ethics, then discusses the challenges that international firms face in adopting environmental best practices. Then, she discusses the challenges to meeting climate change country pledges, particularly the impact of innovation, governance, and national culture norms on building climate change adaptive capacity.
