Overview
Zeynep Akşin is a Professor in the Operations Management and Information Systems group. Her areas of expertise are in the design and management of service systems, exploring the impact of behavioral factors and making use of mathematical models, empirical analyses or behavioral experiments.
She is the recipient of TÜBA Turkish Academy of Sciences Encouragement Award in Social Sciences, IBM Faculty Award, Koç University Outstanding Faculty Award, as well as numerous recognitions for best paper awards. She acts as an associate editor for Management Science, Manufacturing and Service Operations Management, Service Science, and IISE Transactions.
