Evrim Didem Güneş

Evrim Güneş is an Associate Professor of Operations Management at Koç University. She received BS and MS degrees in Industrial Engineering from Bilkent University, and PhD in Operations Management from INSEAD. She joined Koc University in 2004. Her research interests include healthcare operations and behavioral operations management. In her research she aims to provide insights in addressing managerial challenges for healthcare services delivery and for service systems. In particular, her research deals with contract design for comprehensive care delivery, predicting and modeling adherence to treatment, and understanding the impact of operational factors such as workload and queue lengths on decisions of physicians and customers. She also applies operations research methods for location of healthcare centers and optimizing chronic care schedules in post-disaster situations. Her research has been published in journals such as Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Production and Operations Management, European Journal of Operational Research and Health Care Management Science. She serves as Area Editor for Health Care Management Science and Health Systems journals. At Koç University, she teaches core courses on Quantitative Methods in Business and Managerial Statistics.
