General Application Requirements

MSc Cybersecurity Application Requirements

The items listed below are required for consideration for admission to the program:

Turkish nationality applicants

  • Personal and Educational Background Information (CV)
  • 2 Recommendation Letters 
  • English proficiency test score (for those whose native language is not English)
    – TOEFL Internet-Based: minimum Score 80 (if taken in Turkey it must be carried out at the test centers located in state universities)
    – YDS/e-YDS/YOKDIL: minimum score of 80
  • ALES scores (required for all Turkish nationals)
  • Official transcripts from all the university degrees completed
  • Statement of Purpose

International applicants

  • Personal and Educational Background Information (CV)
  • 2 Recommendation Letters 
  • English proficiency test score (for those whose native language is not English)
    – TOEFL Internet-Based: minimum Score 80 (if taken in Turkey it must be carried out at the test centers located in state universities)
  • GRE test scores (optional for international applicants but strongly recommended)
  • Official transcripts from all the university degrees completed
  • Statement of Purpose

Submitting an application without any one of the items below may result in rejection due to the high volume of applications received each intake.

All applicants should apply through the Koç University online application system. Application documents are not accepted via email or other means.

Application Evaluation and Decision Announcement

We offer rolling admissions for all Cybersecurity Master Non-Thesis candidates.

Applicants may apply until the beginning of the Spring 2021 term (February 15th, 2021) for Spring 2021 admission. Decisions will be announced within 2 weeks after the submission of the application.
